Weekend Nurse Practitioner

Bridgewater Pediatrics is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for weekend shifts. Our busy pediatric office is open on Saturdays from 8 to 12 and Sundays from 9 to 1. Positions for every weekend or every other weekend are available.

Medical Assistant

Reporting to the Nurse Manager, the Medical Assistant will collaborate with our pediatricians, nurse practitioners, and clinical team to provide care to infants, children, and teens.

Responsibilities include:

  • Take patient vitals and dialog with patients and their parents to obtain a brief history, and properly log it in the patient’s electronic health record
  • Administer vaccinations and complete required documentation
  • Assist physicians and nurse practitioners with patient care, including assisting with various medical tests, blood draws, and administering medications as needed
  • Clean, disinfect, and prepare rooms as patients transition
  • Help to maximize efficiency and minimize wait times by facilitating optimal patient flow
  • Help make patients and their families feel comfortable and at ease
  • Assist with general duties and special projects as needed, including help at the front desk

Requirements:

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Accreditation is required
  • Experience working with children in a pediatric setting is preferred
  • Candidate must be organized, detail oriented, and a team player who works well under pressure
  • Must possess a love for children and an ability to provide compassionate care

Bridgewater Pediatrics is seeking a full-time, experienced medical biller. Reporting to the Office Manager, the Billing Specialist will work on our billing team and be responsible for a high volume of claims each day.

Responsibilities include:

  • Daily posting of insurance/patient payments and service charges
  • Ensuring patients are billed accurately and timely and enforcing the collection policies of the practice
  • Tracking, reviewing, and appealing unpaid and denied claims and handling collections on unpaid accounts
  • Working with patients to develop written payment plans if needed and ensuring compliance with those plans
  • Composing itemized billing statements and ensuring they are sent in a timely manner
  • Managing patient balances
  • Verifying patients' insurance eligibility
  • Answering patients' billing questions
  • Contacting insurance companies with payment discrepancies
  • Identifying and billing secondary or tertiary insurances
  • Preparing a variety of billing and financial reports

Requirements:

  • Certified Professional Coder, Certified Coding Associate, or Certified Billing and Coding Specialist strongly preferred 
  • Knowledge of ICD-10 with experience in pediatrics preferred
  • Knowledge of insurance guidelines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • eClinicalWorks and EPIC experience preferred
